Axis Quantitative Policy Fellowship
Empowering the next generation of data-driven policy and development leaders
The Axis Quantitative Policy Fellowship represents a paradigm shift in how we prepare future leaders for the complex challenges facing the MENA region. Traditional development approaches have failed to deliver sustainable prosperity across the region, often because they lack the rigorous empirical foundation necessary for effective policy design and implementation.

This fellowship invests in exceptional students who demonstrate both analytical brilliance and a commitment to reimagining development through the lens of data science, computational methods, and evidence-based policy making. We seek individuals who understand that the path to regional transformation lies not in ideological prescriptions but in the careful application of quantitative methods to understand and solve complex social, economic, and political challenges.
Program Philosophy
The fellowship embodies Axis Institute's core belief that sustainable development requires a fundamental shift from intuition-based to evidence-based decision making. By supporting students in cutting-edge quantitative fields, we are building an academic cohort of professionals who will bring scientific rigor to policy making, challenge entrenched assumptions with data, and create innovative solutions grounded in empirical reality rather than theoretical abstractions.
